Artist's Comments

This is an artwork I did back in 2006 for the National Student Convention at Lingayen, Pangasinan. It was my first time using colored pencils and it took me a month to finish this one. The heck, it was big! Like, um, about... more than 30x24 inches! But it was worth it since I got 1st! ^0^

Actually, I wanted to do colored pencils last Ilo-Ilo convention, but our arts teacher insisted on me trying out oil painting since she knows that I'm the only one qualified to do that. I was like, WTF don't make me do what I don't want to do. :bleh:

I was really isolated from the other artists because the thinner smells bad... :(

Oh, yeah... fifth!! >.< I was, like, I told you! Don't force me into things that I don't like! Haha! Well, yeah, really, I was okay with oil painting, but then my arts teacher "forced" me again into doing a way-too-simple picture. All of my classmate and some of the teachers were, like, "Bakit yan yung ginawa mo!? Diba may na-sketch ka na na tiger kanina??"

And I was, "Yeah... Oo nga eh... pinabura nga yun sakin eh... Nakakainis kaya..."

And the reason behind why she had my sketched tiger erased?? Because there are way too many wild life artworks in our house... WTF

There are times that I really disliked my arts teacher...
